Guangzhou at last

We’ve just checked into the white swan hotel here in Guangzhou (formerly Canton), and they’ve got a great little coffee house just two blocks from the hotel with free internet access! Well, free if you’re a customer, which shouldn’t be a problem for Wendy and I :-).

You’ll have to forgive the weird spelling and punctuation of my last post, but the keyboard was strange. The space bar was about half sized and only worked if you pounded on it. Right where my right thumb normally rested was the windows key; meaning that about every two words I got popped up to the menu bar. This keyboard is much nicer, so expect more posting.

Ok…Wendy just has to break in at this point. I’m typing. Only an engineer would devote an entire paragraph to the description of a keyboard when WE’RE IN CHINA! Two minutes after we checked in our room I opened the blinds and saw four families with babies. Needless to say I told Bobby “See ya” and proceeded out the door to chase down the newbies. We were headed down the elevator when they were coming up. I grabbed the baby literally by the foot and we were introduced to three familes right there in the floor hallway. Each daughter is beautiful and unique. We’re so blessed. Bobby and I are the only ones from our group here today, the others arrive from Beijing tomorrow AM and we get Betsy Ye around 3PM. Why didn’t I bring those bunny ears? Back to Bobby.

Hey, Just found out I can communicate with you…cool! Love hearing about your travels and can hardly stand it til you get Betsy. Tomorrow is Easter. Daddy has a cold and feels crummy. Be careful using ice in drinks …can make you really sick. Love you… Safe travels and have fun…
