WalMart Tales
I haven’t laughed this hard in quite some time, but Jamey Tucker’s post about his visit to Wal Mart had me in tears. I particularly like this part:
I did make it to Wal-Mart today. I guess being stuck in the house most of the day made me kind of want to get out amongst people. You won’t find any place in America where you’ll get over that feeling quicker than at Wal-Mart.
Having recently moved from Jamey’s neck of the woods, I can heartily concur with his conclusions about the local store down there. It was truly a horrid experience, but so were the other stores by and large. Thankfully, I live in Collierville now where the Target is outstanding, Schnucks is phenomenal, and even our little WalMart is manageable (in small doses). I think that the reason is that it’s not one of the super sized jobs that they started building a few years back. Instead it’s one of the older, smaller, more friendly ones, but that could be the nice people working there as well.
